Toddler Program Daily Schedule 7:00am-8:00am: Free play; Children gather in one room 8:00am-8:30am: Outdoor play (weather permitting) or indoor activities; songs, dancing, rythmic movement. 8:30am-9:00am: Line activities; songs, finger plays, puppets, books. Snack preparation. 9:00am-10:15am: Work period; individual lessons. 10:30am-11:00am: Lunch preparation. 12:00pm-2:30pm: Preparation for nap and naptime. 2:30pm-3:00pm: Waking up; toilet use and changing clothes as needed. 3:15pm-3:30pm: snack preparation. 3:30pm-4:30pm: Outdoor play (weather permitting) or indoor activities. 4:30pm-5:00pm: Work period; individual lessons. 5:00pm-6:00pm: Free work indoors; Children gather in one room. 6:00pm: School closes. *Throughout the day children will be learning and practicing self-help skills; toilet, personal hygiene and dressing. |
Primary Program Daily Schedule 7:00am-8:00am: Free work; Children use manipulative equipment such as blocks, puzzles, and legos. Read books. 8:00am-8:30am: Outdoor play (weather permitting); Children run, climb, and exercise to prepare themselves for learning. Indoor activities; Children engage in songs and games using physical exercise. 8:30am-8:45am: Line activity; finger plays and songs, demonstration of classroom materials, ground rules. We discuss the day of the week, month and year. Pledge of allegience. 8:45am-10:15am: Montessori class; Children engage in individual lessons and exercises in math, language, science, geography, art, practical life and the sensorial areas. Snack: Individualized to develop independence. Children finish snack by 10:15am. 10:15am-10:30am: Completion of work; Children help straighten shelves and classroom. Line activity; songs, finger plays and games. Review of the morning class. 10:30am-11:30am: Outdoor play (weather permitting); Children are encouraged to exercise, learn games and develop social skills. *Half-day children dismissed at 11:30am* 11:30am-12:00pm: Lunch; 1st group has lunch while second group has story time, games, songs or outdoor play. 12:00pm-12:30pm: Lunch; 2nd group has lunch while 1st group has story time, games, songs or outdoor play. 12:30pm-1:00pm: Preparation for nap and quiet time. 1:00pm-3:00pm: Rest; quiet time. 3:00pm-4:30pm: Waking up and snack time. 4:30pm-5:30pm: Outdoor play (weather permitting) 5:30pm-6:00pm: Indoor free work. 6:00pm: School closes. |
